Nail clipping..
What do you guys use for nail clipping? Clippers or a dremel?
Bug's quik grows with her nails, and she absolutely hates having her nails clipped. Vets recommend to keep her nails clipped a little at a time to try and encourage the quik to recede, and we spent months desensitizing her to it, but it's very uncomfortable for her. When she came into kennels her nails were pretty out of control, they're much shorter now but still not short enough IMO.
Despite daily walking both on hard and soft ground, Bug's nails are still way too long so this isn't something that is going to take care of itself, i'm considering getting a dremel and seeing if she tolerates that any more (with slow, positive association of course).
Do any of you have experience with these?

I've only ever had to clip Katy's dew claws when they get too long. The rest of her claws are worn down hard on walks as she pulls soooo much

Re: Nail clipping..
Hi Rachel no personal experience with them but I know someone with 3 staffords that use them and they make sure they give them high value treats whilst using it
Re: Nail clipping..
I have to emery board Gizmo's as he's got funny nails. Vet told me never to clip them because the quik's so close to the edge they'd bleed.

Re: Nail clipping..
Never used anything but a clipper or emery board. We don't have to trim Suki's much which is good because she hates it. We normally wait until she is asleep and do one at a time over a few days.

Re: Nail clipping..
We use a board on Flo's dew claw as she doesn't mind her front paws being touched at all. The other nails are kept in check through various walking surfaces to be honest though someone did suggest they were long once
