Nail clipping Empty Nail clipping

Post by debs0109 Mon Apr 28 2014, 23:11

Does anybody on here cut their staffers nails? Mia has various walks ie: beach, fields, woods and road walks and I would of thought this would keep her nails nice and short. The back ones are fine, it's just her front ones, they are quite sharp and could do with a trim. It must be the way she walks lol

Walks take care of Suki nails but we do have to trim her dew claws. WE normally wait until she is asleep and clip one at a time. Takes a couple of days but worth the patience as she doesn't like her nails clipped and would be very uncooperative otherwise.

I clip Bane's after having a very bad first experience at a "groomers". He has slowly got used to it, and we always have treats on hand to praise him and make him happy Smile Last time I did it he was asleep...he woke up but he was so tired he moved to see what I was doing and then just laid back down and let me.

Rocky has his nails clipped by the lovely ladies at our local dog training centre (they have a groom room attached) he loves all the fuss and attention and it's only every 3 months or so, they charge a pound a paw which isn't too bad.
