Wow this exercised him so much better than fetch.

Went for a nice walk then played with the pole .. Even though the cats came with us he wasn't interested in them, just in catching the rag at the end of the string. wore he right out.

Made one for my son's staffy too,

Honestly this toy is amazing. He carries it to the field , he is so eager to play with it.
the cats now run back and forth trying to get him to chase them but no luck.. The boy cat is now competing with him for the flirt pole both chasing it.
I did trying to get a film of it but way to hard to play and film it. Im rubbish at phones anyway

So what are they? I think I'll try one out because marleys walks isn't really tiring him out

I made mine with a plastic tube threaded rope through it tied knots and taped a handle  then tied some  knotted rag  onto it.

Some people use a pony crap and tie rope and a toy at the end.

They're brilliant Smile Bug loves hers. Just be careful with joints of pups under 18 months, limit the play and don't make it too vigorous.

I keep mine on the ground so he dont jump up to much. 10 or 15 mins with rest in-between and he is done. Yet could play fetch all day without tiring him.

Made my life so much easier now.
Wish I had made it before my camping holiday as this would have been a godsend

im going to make one of these when puppy is a little bit older, but for now we have been chasing each other around the garden with a length of knotted rope, or a stick...
I have to be careful though because it can put him in a bitey mood and im really trying to get him away from biting me and my clothes..He's fairly good when playing tug, but not so good with skin, hems, and one particular rug i've got....oh, and another one!
In fact, he's having a time out this second for over stepping the mark with me!
