Adopted another Staff
Earlier today I adopted a 7 month old bitch, someone was trying to sell her for £20 She's a lovely little dog, she's had no training whatsoever and she stunk of urine, the poor thing. She met with my boy Diesel and they've got on like a house on fire all day, however as it got quite late into the evening Diesel stopped playing with her and every time she tried to interact with him he responded with aggression, snarling, he never physically bit her but the display worried me. Diesel was tired and was normally fast asleep by 6 so I can only put it down to him being tired? Is this normal behaviour?

Sounds normal to me and he was likely telling the pup enough and leave me alone. Just be sure to supervise their interactions and enjoy the new family member

Ah well done on taking the new one in
Sounds perfectly normal telling off to me. Diesel was telling her to back off and leave me alone which is completely normal. As in the above post, just watch that he isn't bothered to the point of reacting so remove her from his space if it looks like it's getting heated.

Re: Adopted another Staff
All good advice i note from your profile pic of your little boy as the dogs a pup and may be boisterous teach the baby to be gentle and not fuss the dog id also try and teach the dog to be gentle not moving too fast as not to knock your son over as sometimes the pup may be boisterous and not mean to be. Although your other dog may already know to be gentle around the baby include the other dog as well. This will reduce the risk of the older dog becoming resentful of the puppy.

Re: Adopted another Staff
She has calmed down loads today, Diesel has corrected her on several occasions and it appears she is learning he needs his space. They have been playing with each other all day, Diesel let her know when he was tired and it was time to settle down, I'm keeping her in the crate during the night just so she can't get to Diesel whilst he's asleep. So going well so far I just need to house train her now.
