Toilet training and bad weather
I'm having a nightmare toilet training Roxy with this awful weather, being a proper lady it seems she isnt keen on the rain, last night was even worse, as we had gale force winds too. She was terrified poor thing, and I have to be honest I wasnt enjoying standing outside waiting for her to go.. so we gave up and went indoors and within seconds we had a pee and a poop.. considering its only Jan, we have a few months to go with this awful weather. How do you get past this problem with bad weather. I'm hoping it'll get better once we can start walking her..

Iza hates going out in the rain lol i have to encourage her well, chase her out for toilet. Just have to get on with it i suppose till a time comes you wont have to go outside in the rain with her.
I just stand at the door and watch now.

Re: Toilet training and bad weather
Just gonna have to muscle it I'm afraid The amount of times we stood out with Bane following him around the garden with an umbrella saying "Go wee wees! Quick quick! Pop a Squat!"
It may help to take treats too so whenever she goes praise her lots and give a treat, so when it is cold and wet she will just want to wee and get inside for her treat!
If you give in too soon and she goes when you get back in, then she may begin to learn that if she holds out enough she can go inside each time.

Hey brilliant news
Some get the idea overnight others take a little longer but it sounds like you're making great progress

Good progress ! I was the same as Emma and would encourage him outside in the wet then reward with a treat and lots of praise. Trained very quick thankfully.

I cant quite believe it, Roxy is actually asking me to go out today when she needs to do her business. She jumps up at the door and whines. I am soooo proud of her

It took my boy a while to master the 'leg cock' he tried lifting his front leg the first time, he ended up in the bath
