Hi there, puppies can't hold themselves until around 6 months so he may still have accidents, I think getting up around 3am Is a good thing, don't speak or interact with him and put him straight back to bed Smile then over time you can get up a little later each time and he'll learn to hold longer and eventually he'll go all night Big Grin he will get there I promise Smile
as or poo eating unfortunately some puppies do this, my girl at one still does it occasionally all you can do is discourage it! Obviously if he does it before you wake then you can't really do this Surprised it does change and does get easier Big Grin

Thanks for reply he is such a good boy, I wonder if I am expecting to much, he sleeps from 7 so we let him out at 9,12.30-1, 5.30. Hope he gets out of this as can't not let him sleep in a crate thru night as he would destroy the house.

My girl is crate trained and she loves her crate Big Grin your times are great, he'll get there, he is still very much a baby & they all learn at different rates so he may learn other things quickly, and take time to learn this but by the sounds of it your doing great, keep it up Smile we'd love to see some photos Smile this may help :- https://staffy-bull-terrier.niceboard.com/t12017-how-to-post-a-photos-onto-the-forum

May be you are feeding him too much food or too late in the evening?
I would be inclined to keep him awake until you go to bed rather than 7pm then he may sleep through. Fortunately my 13 week old pup sleeps through 7-8 hours but we tire him out before bed. He is also in a crate.
