sorry if this has been asked but what size crate should ace be in?

as my friend came over and said his was to small for him....

his is W36" x D23" x H26".....

he looks fine in it but she said it not big enough :-\

am worried now :-S

Generally they should be big enough for him to lie down, stand up and turn around in.

I agree provided that he can hold his need to use the bathroom for the time you have him in the crate. If he can't than maybe a little larger so you can have a seperate area to use the bathroom. Usually when they are small you can get a bigger crate so you can seperate sleeping area with bathroom and sleeping areas and the dog can grow into it as they age.

no he holds himself.... (most of time) but i never norm leave him there a few hrs in morn (shopping or gym) but only just started leaving him again after his broken leg but he getting used to being with me to much and hates me going to loo! lol

Sorry to hear about Ace's injury. Normally the bathroom problem is only an issue if you are crating them overnight. I'm guessing that Ace either sleeps in the bed with you or has free run of the house at night?

Generally if you don't give them the room to have a 'bathroom' area then they learn to hold it overnight alot quicker as they wont want to go where they are sleeping

no not crated at nite's he has a bed in are room or in the hallway... he only crated when i go out as he get silly and chews everything! lol x

well if it's only why your out then it only need to be big enough for him to lie down and turn around in, it doesn't need to be huge
