Coconut?? Empty Coconut??

Post by m4rkg Tue Jul 01 2014, 17:23

Just bought Spud a coconut, what do I do with it?
Do I just give him it as it comes or do I need to do anything to it?
Thanks in advance Big Grin

Laughing Katy has just finished her one. I give it to her as it is, she will trot about with it for a while then whine cos she cant break it. She comes to us to crack it so she can drink the milk, then will spend the next hour or so munching happily. Word of warning though, Very firm coconut flaky poos follow the next day or two. Great for picking up but a bit uncomfortable for passing, I have started letting her eat half & put the other half in the fridge as a nice chilled snack  Laughing

Well he was chasing it round the garden for a while and got bored, so I put a hole in it he drank the milk, and left it again. Once i broke it he played with it and ate most of it, I had some aswell Big Grin
Was fun watching him chasing it and shouting at it, see how he handles the poos tomorrow, I wouldn't advise doing it inside tho as some milk got spilled and went all sticky so had to mop it up Sad

i dont bother pulling the hair off its somthing they like to do themselves like defluffing tennis balls. i do poke one of the holes out though as they can then smell the insides and it keeps them intrested. be warned though if they start throwing it about...have had a few heart stopping moments as a coconut flys towards the tv lol
