Marrow Bones
We treated Rocky to a couple of these today, he had half of one already and really enjoyed it. We of course gave it to him raw but they can be cooked to add to stews etc, they are meant for human consumption:

Re: Marrow Bones
These are great! We got a couple off of the butchers and Bane loved them! Great to use afterwards to stuff with other stuff once all the marrow is gone

Re: Marrow Bones
Is this really ok to give and ok for their teeth? I've only brought them to make bone broth for myself but never gave them to Marquez as I thought they considered as weight bearing bones and too hard for him.

Re: Marrow Bones
The ones we got were only small ones although did look a little thick! I'm sure if they don't have too long chewing on them at once they should be ok

Re: Marrow Bones
Hubby said these ones were a tibia bone (shin bone) cut in half length ways. We only let him have it to chew for a few minutes at a time once he had had all the marrow out of it in his dinner.

Re: Marrow Bones
We found a couple at the pet shop on the weekend, but they've scooped the marrow out and filled it with a paste made of peanut butter, liver and biltong... cannot wait to give it to the kids! But like Kathy once the filling is out they won't get the bone for too long at a time.
