Marrow bone
Random question..
Got bug a marrow bone from the butchers which she's been eating out in the garden this afternoon. She's got most of the meat/marrow off/out of it but she's been at it for about 3 hours now and so I've taken it away to give her a rest! I don't want to waste it but don't want her to have any more this evening.. It's obviously been out in the sun all afternoon! Do I just chuck it or can it be stored to have later this weekend? It's pretty big and lots of chewing left in it.. But don't want her getting an upset tummy!

Re: Marrow bone
I usually chuck it in a sealed container of bag that can be sealed and stick it in the fridge to avoid germs. Seems to work and they haven't had upset tums or anything from me doing that.

Re: Marrow bone
Can always freeze it in between chewing sessions to kill off any germs?

Re: Marrow bone
I've read that marrow bones are one of the types to avoid given dogs. Anyone know why this is? So much conflicting info online so best to ask those that actually give it.
