Re: Coconut
I give the girls coconut oil but have given them real coconut. First you should let Biscuit play with the coconut! You can give her a piece of it to eat just cut a bit out. My 2 love it and it's a healthy snack

Re: Coconut
Yes, Rach, that's me. I give it to them to play around with and they loooove ripping the husks off. When they get bored I literally just smash it open for them and they go nuts for licking up the water and eating the flesh. I don't let them eat the shell although they love to try - so I tend to run around picking that up as they've eaten the flesh.
Oooo lucky Biscuit - can't wait for pics!!! x

Oh yes, if Bis isn't used to it, it might give her a bit of a runny bum but the sweet breath and soft fur is so worth it

Re: Coconut
Ahh sounds briliant Will be sure the get some pics! They're only 50p at the shop so a good treat to keep her occupied! The reason I chose coconut was because Biscuit tends to get a little constipated bless her!! So wanted something to level her tummy out a little, just hope it doesn't go the other way I'm sure she'll love it!

Re: Coconut
I use a corkscrew drill a hole and drain the water out for Ledger before letting him play with it think that was incase he managed to break in and the water going all over the carpet but think they are hardy enough for that not to happen

Re: Coconut
Well, she LOVED it!! Bright sunshine here so was out chopping the horrible spiky trees down in the garden and let her play with the coconut outside while I was working, we broke it open and scooped some of the flesh out which she wolfed down!! Put the other half on the door step as didn't want to give her too much and she stole it 3 times lol!! Kept turning around to her sneaking around the corner with it in her mouth!! Will see how her tummy gets on with it, but seems to be a winner
