5 Weeks since operation
We are now at the 5 week mark since Caley's operation...half way
We saw the vet last week and he is still happy with Caley's progress. I was a bit worried as it looks like she has a lump both end of where the operation was, basically it looks like the bones are not aligned, vet said they are fine and its where the pins are in her leg and scar tissue has built up. He did mention that she might eventually need the pins taken out - I will worry about that later.
So she is now booked in for next tuesday for xrays to make sure it has all worked - dreading the poor mite being given anethestic again. If all is going to plan he said that in 4 weeks from the xray she will be back to 100%, he believes all will be fine. FINGERS CROSSED.
So we are still trying to keep her amused in the crate and bless her little socks she is coping extremely well, even to the point that when I do let her come and sit with me she wants to stay in her crate so long as the door is open and I am beside her. I just cannot wait to be able to let her out and about again, it is horrible going home to no dog running to great you.

I feel for you as I'm sure we suffer just as much, if not more, than our
dogs do when they are not well.
Best wishes to Caley for her x-rays next week.
4 weeks and counting and by then she will be able to enjoy the better weather.

Re: 5 Weeks since operation
Thanks everyone. The little madam planned the great escape yesterday. My husband thought she was being such a good girl that he took his eye of her for moment, she legged it and thought it was play time running around...I nearly had a heart attack..took us a few minutes to get her back in crate, told her off and she was not allowed out rest of evening lol..sent to bed extremely early last night...hopefully no damage caused. grrrr
