Re: feeding after an operation
It's actually more important that Bella takes on fluid whether that be a drink or as part of a wet meal. 24-48 hours but any longer and I would seek advice.
I've never yet known a Staffy to deliberately starve so I would think that once the anaesthetic wears off she will wolf the lot down.
Let us know how she gets on

You can feel quite groggy after anesthetic so I wouldn't overly worry about one meal. As Ian says, try and tempt her to some fluids though.

Re: feeding after an operation
I know when i've had anaesthetic it made me feel ill for a good couple of days after so I don't blame her if she doesn't want to eat, but as said, fluids are the most important thing, if she can't or won't drink for 24hrs i would get more medical help

Re: feeding after an operation
I did that with Katy after her spaying op then I offered her chicken & rice which she ignored until I started hand feeding her then she soon tucked in. She'll be back to her normal bouncy self tomorrow

Am glad to hear she's on the mend! Shame about the ear infection but she sounds like a feisty fighter
