Dew claw operation
Hi all, I know there's a post just below about a dew claws but just wanted to update on lolas situation.
We were out for out frisbee session & she fell and bent her dew claw.
Went to the vets yesterday & she needed to be sedated.
Collected her today everything went fine no problems but I'm worried about her, Shes whining LOTS (she shouldnt be in pain as she had a long acting painkiller today which should last till Thursday.
She's had some dinner & she's still whining, I'm worried she's in pain. Shes trying to nibble so I'll have to put the cone on.
Can anyone offer some advice??

Re: Dew claw operation
Poor lil Lola x
Maby she's feeling a little disorientated ?
She has her paw bandaged ? Could be annoying her and she prolly will feel a lil sore, as well as feeling sorry for herself.
Try and distract her from fiddling with it, keep her calm and comfy.
Other than that, if ur really worried call the vet for reassurance.
You might find she's bk to normal bouncy self tomorro x

Re: Dew claw operation
I would call the vet in the morning if she's the same just to make sure everything is alright. Give her a cuddle from me.

Re: Dew claw operation
I've taken her up to our room for the night so I can keep an eye on her. It is bandaged, she's limping & whining now

Re: Dew claw operation
She's ok, bandage came off in the night and she settled after that! So it was the bandage bothering her! She's fine, wanting to run and play but shes resting just now
I had to take her to work as no one could watch in (I work for the local council) and it was a DIASTER!!!!!!!
We were there for about 90mins and had to go home, not because of Lola but because someone complained to the area manager (despite me clearing it with the dog warden and my manager!) and someone said she was too scared to come into the office because of her.
She sat under my desk most of the time!
She went to sniff someones bin and went and saw my manager and because of that I had to take her home.
Im livid as she did nothing wrong and its gonna look awful for me as i've only been in the job 6 weeks!
Rant over

Ohhh go tell them to get stuffed with a cucumber Some people need to lighten up a little. So long as your direct C/O was OK with it whats the problem.
