I have no idea what the different lines mean. Lola is r line. Any1 wanna fill me in?

These represent the first letter of the name of the original 5 or 6 Staffordshires that it is generally accepted started the breed way back in the 1930s. My Barney is M-line which means he comes originates from Brindle Mick, the Sire of Gentleman Jim, the first ever Staffordshire Champion.
