getting worried :'(
hi all
iv enrolled into another training class as the one i was at was too little dog oriented and a bit pointless as she was so excited they kept asking me to stand outside til she calmed....which she did not!
so hopefully this one will help, its 12 weeks responsible dog ownership and training.
anyway this week she has been a disaster and im worrying soooo much about her temperament. she has started going for my feet if i pick up the pace so im worried joggers will be next! also she bit my leg in a hyper spell where she spun around growling. she wont stop mouthing so my mums worried about the kids tht sometimes visit.
im really upset about it all. nothing seems to be working at all with her.
iv read soooo much about mouthing and everything but its not working.
im sorry to always be ranting about everything i just really need help.

Re: getting worried :'(
Have you tried putting her in a room for a minute or so to calm when she's doing it? try not to despair Hun.

How old is she? Sounds like normal puppy behavior, patience and training and being persistent will work, I know its hard and sometimes you feel like you are going backwards but it does and will pay off x

Keep with it she will get there in the end. Tallulah was really bad and everyone hands bare the marks lol for some reason its only the right hands she does it too.
Tallulah has gotten so much better and the mouthing happening less and less. it just takes a little time and everyone in the family dealing with the mouthing in the same way

Aw stick to it! I'm sure she's too young for it to be anything aggressive. What food is she on? If she is particularly hyper and excited most of the time maybe there is something in her diet thats causin it?

I wondered how old she is ? Sorry you're feeling helpless at the moment but stick with it, the training WILL pay off. I have a 15wk old and at times are at my wits end, he is a chronic 'biter'. We're here to support you.

Re: getting worried :'(
There are teenage times they go through and boundary pushing. Even now Vin will try it and he is 2 and a half. Firm no and ignore is what I find works. If you are anxious at dog classes she will pick up through the lead your anxiety.
Keep at it and I know it doesn't seem like it now but it will improve as long as you are consistent
