There's a stray staffy cross entire male sitting outside my door with it's head through my cat flap sending Thistle nuts, she's in season and up for it, I've reported it to the dog warden but they won't get it unless it's caught, what am I supposed to do, I can't let Thistle out for wee's and poo's and if it's not about tomorrow (which I expect it will be) I will be on tenterhooks when I take her for her walk  

Are you able to get Thistle shut in a room so you can get hold of the stray dog then phone for the dog warden, could you take the stray to a friends house who doesn't have a dog already so the dog warden can collect him from there ?

Oh no. I thought the dog warden did the catching?!
Is it possible for you to get out and see if he has a collar and tag on?

He has no collar on at all, he is only young and appears friendly, I thought the dog wardens caught them, didn't think I had to do all the work. He's not about at the moment, if I see him tomorrow I could try and catch him, smothered in Thistles scent, but then I have no idea what to do with him, apart from tie him up somewhere until the warden comes, I'm at work all day tomorrow, only have lunchtime to do it, thats when I walk Thistle......groan there's always something.

Please make sure the cat flap is secure/locked, its surprising the small gaps a desperate dog can get through!
Hopefully he has found his way home and his worried owners will ensure he doesn't wander off again..heres hoping

can't lock the cat flap it's knackered, and anyway how will my cats get out? I will just have to be vigilant and get Thistle a chastity belt   

Is she in another room he wouldn't be able to get into, if he got in while you were out?

She's perfectly safe from him, he can't get through the cat flap he's too big, and it's a solid wooden door, Thistle is just so bloody frustrated, think I'll hide the door key tonight in case she tries to get out

The stray disappeared eventually, unlike Thistles frustration, I went out this morning armed with a spare collar and a lead, and some bait called Thistle, not a sign of him, so hopefully that's the last I'll see of him. I've asked around but nobody seems to recognise it, shame because he was a lovely dog. Wish I was as bloody randy as Thistle

Hope that's it then...unless she sneaked out last night for a secret rendezvous! Was she smiling this morning?!
