spike and the stray we found

Pat my PH found a stray running in the middle of a busy road and did the only thing he knew, stop and pick it up and bring it home.

I was a tiny bit aprehensive but spike the usual DA pooch did amazing on his home teritory, check out my boy doing staffies proud !!!

So whats happened, must have had an owner?

cute , you going to take it to a vet and get scanned for a microchip

dont know yet only just left us as the dog warden came and got her but i have a friend on facebook who's niece has lost a dog in the road right near me so finger crossed it the same one and it has a home, it was too well looked after to not have a home (I HOPE) !!!!

Cute stray looks like a parson Jack Russell in need of a hair cut poor thing , well done on looking after it, is Spike muzzled to be on the safe side ?

we walked around the area for over an hour, she didnt have a collar so had to use the first one we ever got spike and the spare lead we had it looked a sorry state as it was a bit to big but nobody came up to us who looked like they had lost a dog so we went home to wait for the dog warden to come and do the checks but he didnt have the scanner on him so i dont know if it was chipped, but i did ask them to let us know what happens !

in fairness she did have a haircut but looked like it was with some scissors as there were bits missed and all uneven

spike is muzzled for everbodys safety as he is usually DA but seems to be ok with females so given it was on his home teritory it was the right thing to do as i didnt want it going wrong and stressing the stray out anymore thsan she already had been

I do hope they find the owners, if not you could have a new addition

we did say that to the dog warden as we have always wanted a second pooch but not until spike is ready for it

You did all the right things, hope the owner does come forward

i think we have found the owner so fingers crossed !!!!
