Stray Cats

We have taken in lots of stray cats and kittens over the years. Why do they always seem hungry even though we are feeding them the right amounts of food?

Well done you I would say its because before they had you to feed them they didn't know when they would get to eat again, so they wolf down the food so others wont take it off them!

There is one stray cat outside that I been working with trying to get it's trust. It's been a few months and now the cat sits about 15ft from me. I think it's a boy cat but not sure. If I do get up he still runs a few feet away but I say, I will get him to come to me one day. Then I can take him to my wife's shelter to see if he is chipped or how his health is. I am not setting a human trap now, cause he probably would not come back. Wish me luck.

Good luck, but be aware that adult feral cats rarely become 'tame' and he may never fully trust you. Does he look healthy?

I don't seem them at all now. I guess it's easier in the summer then the harsh winter.
