Hi all merry Christmas.
Alfie is acting weirdly. He is manicly running to and from his two beds and rolling and screwing them up. It's not his funny five mins normally has. He cannot settle more than a minute before he has to madly roll and run to the next bed and start again! Something is driving him mad poor boy.
He has had nothing different to eat
He went to the vets Monday and had his 2nd lot of boosters. He is also having treatment for his narrowed ear canal. Anti fungal one which is continued from before and a steroid which is new since Monday. Both are ear drops, which is great at accepting. However it doesn't seem to be his ear that's annoying him, usually he'd be pawing at it and he's not at all.
Any ideas please? Sorry probably not explained it very well.

Hmmm that is odd, he's not got a bite or anything that could be irritating him?

Aww no poor boy sounds like something is really getting to him and although it appears not to be his ears it still could be, it could be trickling or popping and he doesn't know what it is so he's jumping/running about. odd behaviour 3198918699 Hun.

Thanks dazzled.
Yes maybe hayley, it's just that before he was very different when it was annoying/hurting him.
Thankfully he has calmed for the last 10 mins and is trying to sleep on his bed. Hate feeling helpless and not being able to even know what it is, hopefully was. Got family round in 45 min!

Snuggled on my lap Wink
He had a sleep then when he got up his back leg was stiff and he kept looking round at it, so maybe he pulled a muscle or that was the result of all the unrest? It was just very strange.
He was fine while the relatives were here, though I told them to give him some space for a while, not that he took it he was loving them up. Lol
Certain ones insisted all dogs have wild funny five minutes. Was trying to say I knew that and was used to Alfies and this was very different and something wasn't quite right. They then told me again their dog often runs mental around the house and it's normal!!  Rolling Eyes
Thanks for asking sazzle. Hope you and Daisy have had a good few days

Hopefully whatever it was that was bothering Alfie has now gone. Dogs often try to run away from something that is bothering them, so perhaps alfie went to his first bed and whatever it was bothered him. So he ran to his second bed hoping to escape the bother, not realising in his doggy mind that if the bother was in or on his body it would follow him.

Maybe it was a tummy ache, or may it was the new steroid ear drops.

Whatever, let's hope it's gone now  odd behaviour 3198918699

Thanks Lynda. Yes it did seem he was trying to escape whatever it was. He is quietly snuggled on my lap now. Hopefully he will have a good night and see how he is tomorrow.
