Neutering? A bit hesitant...
Right so Patch who, i shall be getting later on today isn't neutered and as much as i would like to i am terrified of getting him neutered!
I do not want to breed him, never have i ever wanted to, my intention to take him on was family pet and nothing more!
But i had a Labrador whom got the snip, and instead of calming him turned to aggression, as i was explained to by a vet the lack of testosterone he couldn't handle and later had to be put down due to attacking people!
He is a wonderful friendly dog and i want to keep him the way he is and i just have it in my mind if he goes and gets the snip it will be all down hill and ill lose another dog (which i really don't want it heart broke me the first time!).
Any advice?

If that's how you feel Kate Don't have him neutered, you'll find there's lots on here that don't unless for medical reasons. There is also people that do, it's really down to personal choice, do your homework, but ultimately if your happy and he's happy there's no need for change

Usually I would say its down to personal choice but the rescue centre may insist that you have him done?

Where are you getting him from? If from a rescue, they should have done him already really, unless he is really underweight? If he is from a good rescue, it will be part of your 'rehoming agreement' to have him castrated.

Rocky is from a rescue centre and was neutered before we bought him home. Have the rescue centre discussed this with you, it may be worth making a phone call to them or drop them an email if you can.
