Cat neutering Empty Cat neutering

Post by Guest Mon Oct 15 2012, 20:40

Anyone know anything about cats? I've always had female cats and they got spayed but none ever lasted very long as they were mostly wild from the farm up the road, and always ran back to it.

My two new kittens are boys and getting hoooooge. They are only 5 months and still being shut in at night so they don't wander and spread their happiness about, don't need any more farm kittens over there cause he drowns them. i don't want my grandkits being drowned!

When do you get le balls chopped in a cat? They're still quite immature and i'm not sure how low and to the left they are supposed to hang before you get snip happy.

Never had a cat myself, but my sister did a few years ago. He was a randy b*gger! She said she wouldn't get him done - then he sprayed all over a very expensive new dress & he had the snip about a week later! He was about 18 months old I think.

Knowing the rate they breed, I'd get them done asap!

Hi Hayley, best time to spay is 6months, they can be done earlier but I wouldnt advise it. Unlikely to spray until approx six months, and it reeks!! Once spayed the kittens will gain weight quite quickly and it will stop their wandering tendencies. Smile

Bowie was neutered at 6 months and has suffered no ill effects. He is the sweetest cat and he is a big guy at 16 lbs/7.25 kg.

Cat came back, just as well, it was a terrible night!

Now both are in their bed snoozing after being molested by the vets.
