Help!! Tips on how to stop chewing a bandage!!

Hi all, Has anyone got any tips or ways to deter Rolo from ripping his bandage off? Silly sausage ripped his dew/thumb claw off yesterday, so spent a few hours up at the vets getting it removed properly and he is sporting a lovely bandage which we need to keep on till Monday. I do have spare dressings to replace/change it over the weekend but he is very intent on getting them off now So far electrical tape and a firm "no" is just about working everytime he touches it... although I fear this will not keep him off it for long. Thank you

Ledger did the same with his dew claw and the bandage lasted a couple of hours at the most. My vet said if he did as long as it stayed clean it would be ok just to monitor in case of infection

I have since got some anti chew spray which can be used on bandages and furniture although Ledger seems to like this and licks it all off

When Rocky had his foot bandaged earlier this year my hubby put a tiny drop of T Tree Oil on the bandage to stop him from nibbling it.

Thank you, will try the T tree oil, I only have some in a pump top bottle and he goes nuts if you get that out the cupboard for some reason.

Try a bit of Vicks Vapour rub on it. I used to put it on Tommy's tail when he went through a stage of chasing it. Worked a treat.

Thank you! We tried all the above... I was really hopeful that having lasted the weekend with only needing to replace it 3 times it would be able to stay off after our visit to the vets today, but sadly no It's still raw and bleeding slightly so he is bandaged till friday and we are now trying to convince him that it is fashionable to wear the cone of shame
