Silly people grrr

Just had a most lovely walk. Did a few training exercises along the way and both were brilliant.

And then...

You have to go through a gate to get to the track which we walk on and there was an elderly couple there at the same time as we were going back. Moll looked at the lady head cocked to one side and wagged her tail the lady wouldn't come within 20 meters and stepped back and the look she gave poor Moll was one of loathing and disgust (clearly staffy's and there owners are nasty and violent!). I don't normally let things like this get to me but I had even stepped out of the way so that they could go through first, and told them 'you go first'. She eventually barged past and didn't even acknowledge us (I smiled and said hello!). Her husband stayed back to hold the gate open for us and you could see he felt awkward about the woman as she had walked off and even left him behind!

Poor little Moll had done nothing at all. Horrible woman.

I'm afraid you do come across bigoted people like that. Her poor husband!

I used to get frustrated because I knew that sort of person is just ignorant of the facts. then i also realised I dont care anymore what they think

I normally do just laugh it off.... but think I was just having a bad day myself! And then a miserable woman being mean to my moll topped it off!

Oh it makes me furious! I was once walking mine when he was 18 weeks and this old woman was walking her little pug thing and she came over and said "I'm only coming over because I can see he's a puppy other wise I wouldn't come anywhere near!" I don't know when people are going to learn that all dogs are different. I love it when TV programmes like Paul O'Grady have lovely staff's on, so that it might change some peoples opinions. Anyone who actually comes up to my little Jerry always comments on what a lovely little nature he has.

She's probably like that to everybody/everything. Poor guy being saddled with someone like that.

Hate people like that...!! I had a corker the other day with Koda waiting outside a shop for the wife.... now we had already been tested up the park with a few "STAFFY" quick leads and pulls and non socialising morons... so.. Kodas laying down waiting with me outside and a woman comes out the shop and rustles her bag.. Koda jumps up (to a sit).. the woman makes a noise and says ooo i dont like them dogs.... now ive had enough by now cos Koda is so dopy n dull not a bark in her.. so i turns round and said.... well if she got to know you.... and the womans shaking her head like thatl never happen.. i said.. she probably wouldnt like you either.... after picking her chin up off the floor she scurried off...

We get it too, but I just put it down to ignorance, and often say " Its ok he has had his tea!"
