had a lovely day out with woody today but had a run in with a mad old bint! it ended up really funny but initially i was so mad i was shaking!!!

woody did his usual wandering around the field and this woman, 2 spaniels on lead, 1 huge unknown breed, started shouting at him to go away. when i got nearer she said move him away ive had to get one of my dogs put to sleep in the past becasue of ONE OF THOSE!

red rag to a bull time! i asked back "and what is one of THOSE?" she said "one of them staff things" i advised her that the breed was irrespective and it was the owner of any dog breed that she should be wary of and not the actual breed. as her large off lead dog, proceeded to come over and try to befriend woody i asked woody to lie down which my angel did and ignored her hound who didnt respond to her commands to come back away from "the DOG".

we then decided to go for a walk along the estuary path with Izzy and Woody on lead(not beause of her but due to the tide/mudbanks), not 30 mins later on our way back we come across mad old bint who it seemed did not remember us "morning girls - oh hello gorgeous doggies" Surprised we were both so stunned we could speak!!!! the mad old bird didnt remember us or what a staffy looked like!!!couldnt help but laugh she was barking!!!

maybe it was just her way of letting you know she was wrong , you certainly taught her a lesson on staffy behaviour:)

cant wait to see her again - we are going to leave Izzy off lead next time as she hates people speaking to her and watch the mad old bird cack herself when the non-staffy runs at her from left field whilst she worrying about woody the softest dog ever!!!!

Maybe she has a nice twin with the twin littermates of her dogs and they dress alike and go for walks in the same parts so as to really confuse people and make them wonder if there are multiple personalities involved or doing some really strange social experiments.

now that would be surreal!!i just thnk she is barking mad! or her reaction to me telling her she souldnt come on the field again was taken as a threat and she was so scared she pretended to be someone else!

Maybe Woody frightened her into another dimension! Now the shell left behind is simply calm and nice... ok, I think I will go with her just being clown

I know. I was out for a walk the other day and two ladies actually ran out into a very busy street to avoid my dogs who were on lead! I just smiled at them and told my dogs I would protect them. Big Grin

I dont know Aspley Guise that well but I do know its near Woburn which is very pretty. I am at the other end of the county though in the town centre which I hate. Would much rather be out in the countryside.
