Feeling terribly guilty...

Last night I was sitting on my balcony having a cigarette and a young(ish) girl walked past with a beautiful black and white staffie, she had no lead on just a harness; the girl wasn't even carrying a lead!   Anyway the girl was on her phone and the staffie stopped to poop at which point the girl turned around started swearing and chucking her arms around because her dog had pooped on the pavement and kicked her dog.. she then walked off and the dog followed. I am beating myself up now because it enraged me but I said nothing I wish I could turn back time because I should have given her hell on earth for that its just not on. I feel terrible. The reason I didn't say anything was because I just didn't want this little scumbag chav knowing where I live, there's loads of them around our area and it frightens me a little that they may know where I live but thinking about it now I wish I'd stood up for that gorgeous little dog.... these people don't deserve to be able to keep dogs.

Oh that is terrible, made me sick to my stomach reading that. I don't understand how on earth these people have the hearts to do that, I feel guilty enough being stern with Rocky letting alone doing anything like that. Don't feel guilty in yourself, anything could have happened, and not only that, you were at your own home, it's a good point, she would have known where you lived. I understand why you feel guilty though  Poor doggy!

so true. i was a young lad, maybe 12 belt his lab over the head onedat with his fist. i was so angry, but by the time i was within yelling distance he'd buggered off.... dogs are a privlige, not a right in my opinion.

Well said Taryn, how terrible for the poor dog and no lead, don't deserve dogs. Don't beat yourself up too much you may see her again. 

Its surprising how many staffies around where I live have no leads, the owners don't even carry leads and some don't even have collars on it really frustrates me. If I see that girl again I'll be having words..

I dont promote violence, but sometimes people like this need a good kick (or two or three) themselves just to make them aware its not nice. Im yet to see any of this with my own eyes but the day i do, i feel for the person if i do!

I hate people like that, I would have given her a good slap. Those people don't deserve to own a dog.
