dandruff problem
Hi everyone
I had to give sasha a bath last night as she had been playing with water and dirt in the garden not a great combination I used a puppy shampoo made sure it was rinsed off. We've got up this morning and she seems to have developed bad dandruff have tried brushing with a mitt made no difference. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: dandruff problem
Sounds like it had dried her skin out, I'm sorry I haven't come across this before but I'm sure someone will be along with some advise soon

Re: dandruff problem
Thats what it looks like to me to. It doesn't seem to be bothering her too much. She had the same problem when we first got her and took her to the vet for check up. Vet said that she had dandruff but offered no solution

Re: dandruff problem
I know it's not a quick fix solution but quite a few people add salmon oil to food, it improves the condition of their coat.

Re: dandruff problem
Possibly try a really oily fish, sardines or mackerel in oil mixed in with their food once a week.. This could possibly just get you on till you wait for the oil to be delivered. I do condition Hugo with doggy conditioner.

Re: dandruff problem
Ive got some sardines in the cupboard so am going to give sasha some at lunch time. I normally use a puppy spa spray leave in shampoo which works really well but she was so dirty and smelly last night had to give a proper bath using pets at home puppy shampoo needless to say that I won't be using it again.
