dandruff problem / lead issue
hi all.
noticed that zeus has alot of dandruff coming off him all over his body, is there a reason for this? what can i do to treat this?
also, hes ready to go out for walks now, i put his collar on him a few days ago, which he hates as expected, and he hates his lead too. he goes nuts when i put it on, if i can catch him to put it on that is. when its on hes rollin an jumpin all over the place trying to get it off. is this natural? what is the best way to deal with it?
thanks

Try putting his collar and lead on when he is just in the house to get him used to it before you go for a walk.

Re: dandruff problem / lead issue
Charlie has had a bit of dandruff recently, he is just 12 weeks, he is raw fed with lots of fish as well as chicken, beef and lamb so I know its not likely to be his diet, he had his last jabs yesterday and the vet said it was quite normal especially as he had his first bath a couple of days ago and even though it was puppy shampoo it would have dried his skin out a little bit.
I am getting Charlie used to his collar gradually, he started off wearing it for 5 mins for a few days then 10 now he wears it for half an hour no problem and would possibly wear it for longer but our other dog Polly tries to pull him around by it to get it off him This weekend I am going to start putting his lead on in the house for him to drag around for a few minutes and gradually work it up to me walking him around the house before we go out. I have to wait for my OH to take the other dogs out before we do this though as Charlie is a real wimp and will scream and cry like he is being hurt and they try to help him get rid of them

I used to put collar and lead on Gabbi when she was about to eat - this seemed to work to make her feel more comfortable with it on...

hes been on royal canin medium jr as this is what the breeder fed him. hes been off his food for a while so ive been mixing chicken one day in it, scrambled egg another day in it, wet food with it etc to give him a bit of variety. could this be the problem?

I like the putting it on in the house method as well. If he is going to be unsupervised though you should take it off so it doesn't get caught on somehting.
