Spaying...
What would you guys advise?
I am going to defo let her have 1 season...
I have 2 males, both castrated and 1 bitch who was already spayed when she came to me.
let her her have the 1 then get her done 3 months after or let her have 2-3 seasons?
no point in asking my vets as they would do her at 6 months.

Re: Spaying...
Personally I wouldn't spay unless medically she needs it
However if you do intend to i'd leave it as long as possible so after 2-3 seasons would be great!

she has to be spayed as she's rescue and having 2 males even though they are done I wouldn't want any fights

Agree after at least 2 seasons, is best Not sure on Daisy's age but she would have had 2 or 3 and everythings been fine since she was done

thank you - i hate the thought of her having to have the op but wouldn;t want to risk pyo and it is part of the contract.

Re: Spaying...
Aww she will be fine, Daisy was upset on the night , crying and such but the next day and certainly the day after she was back to normal bouncing around, driving me mad with worry about her stitches!

Re: Spaying...
If you can, I'd wait until at least after 2 seasons to give her a chance to mature. Don't worry about pyo at such a young age.
In my limited experience, bitches cope with the op far better than dogs!

I would say after the second season is the best time! However it is a very personal decision and everyone has different opinions about it. It is great that you aren't going to do it before her first season though! I personally think it's better to let her mature as much as possible!
