Poorly
Darcy had a bit of a runny poo on Wednesday, was fine Thursday but not eating so I took her the vet who took her temp, checked front & back bums ears, eyes, heart, everything fine, but last night & this morning the diarrhoea has started again all she's eaten is rice & chicken, drinking fine and acting normal' I'm panicking because I'm going on hols early hours Monday, any advice?

Re: Poorly
They tend to say 24 hours, but you just need to make sure she doesn't get de-hydrated Xx

You'd be surprised how many dogs are chicken intolerant.
Funny you should mention that caryll because my mums just said is it since she's had chicken which she doesn't usually have.

Re: Poorly
Starving for 24 hours sounds awful, but often works wonders with upset tummies. Then, as Hayley suggests, some nice scrambly eggies (2 max., no butter no milk)
After that, a chicken and rice meal is normally recommended, but if you suspect that Darcy may be chicken intolerant, and here I'm stuck! white fish and rice?
Has anyone any other non-chicken ideas?

Re: Poorly
Thanks guys, the poopies have slowed down now, it's bright yellow:( there is some blood in it, (bright red) am I right in thinking it's because of the poops and nothing more sinister? I think if she's still unwell tomorrow my vets is open 12-2 so I'll try get her I again

Re: Poorly
Glad the runnies have slowed down in frequency, but I'm sorry to say Hayley that bright yellow (bile?) and especially blood in it would worry me a bit. It could just be that her guts are rubbing together due to the unaccustomed activity and thus causing a little bleed, but tbh unless there is a great improvement by tomorrow I'd just pop her along to the vets, if only to put your mind at rest. Is Darcy OK in herself apart from the poos?
They do pick their moments don't they. Please try not to worry
