I would be glad he isn't interested - you're not think of breeding them again, are you? For a start it's far too soon!

I would definatly give your girl another year off give her body the chance to recover from the last litter. And then you could learn all about the breeding process and how to do the best for your dogs, there is a very good book called the book of the bitch

Agreed, give her a break! You certainly wouldn't want to over breed her!

Re: staffy in heat.
im not to sure, when lelo was in her second season stich was all over her every were she whent, was not the best thing in the world for her,but then after he had done his thing with her,he didnt seen intrested after it..
then after she had the puppys, i got her spyed, was safe for her and i didnt want puppys to come along that were not planed...
and i think 1 litter is plenty... if i were you id think about getting her spyed, just one less thing to worry about... and if she has not one had a litter then she has not misst out on it..
and seen as she is only 20 months the last thing she needs is another litter to messs up her insides..

Re: staffy in heat.
What! I've only just realised how old (young) she is!
I'm sorry if this offends you, but she is too young now to be having pups, let alone last year!
What on earth are you playing at?

Re: staffy in heat.
she is 23 months not 20 months and last litter wasnt planned it just happened. and was just wondering y that he wasnt trying to do anything with her cause he usally trys to hump every girl dog he sees and when she in heat now he not trying. thought maybe there something wrong. she getting sprayed anyway after she has pups one more time with my cousins blue staffy judge. getting my american bulldog sprayed aswell. they not for breading flat out at, they just my family pets and they get hundards of pounds spent on them every month so they dont want for anything. before anyone thinks i just have them for breeding and making money off.

Re: staffy in heat.
I still think she's too young to have had one litter, let alone two!
If she's only been in season for a few days then she won't be receptive just yet so maybe your dog knows that.
However, if you're not planning to mate them (and I hope you're not) then keep them apart!
I'm sorry for being abrupt, but from where I sit you seem to be very irresponsible.
