First Heat

Hi All,

my puppy is in the final stage of her 1st heat. She is 8 & a half months old. Last Thursday she stopped dripping, exactly 4 weeks after she began. Her parts are still swollen and she is being a real tart each time we cross a male dog on our walks.

What's concerning me most is her lack of energy. Before we would walk for about 1.5 hours a day no problem and now after just 30 min she starts getting tired. Is this due to her being in heat? Food wise she is eating like before.

I would wait for things to calm down and don't worry. Good if its us nothing beats a day on the sofa

Called the Vet and he too said to give her a couple of days.
