another awesome recipe - sardine oatcakes
lets just say the boys approve and have left my a nice puddle of drool infront of the oven
all ready for the oven
All cooked
they are the consistency of hobnobs
recipe:
2 tins of sardines in oil 120g each tin
60g wholemeal flour
300g oats
a couple of crushed garlic cloves (optional)
a splash of water to bind everything
mash the sardines and oil with a fork, add the garlic/oats/flour and mix together with a splash of water until they form a dough that you can roll out. Roll out and cut out your shapes, stick in the oven at about 190c for 20-25 mins et voila!
Oh don't waste the little bit of dough you tend to get that isn't enough to make a cake roll and cut into little chips to use as training treats
Enjoy!

Look amazing. If I made them I would probably eat them all......I'd let Blue eat any crumbs I dropped, not a total tight git

Re: another awesome recipe - sardine oatcakes
I'm gonna try these, they look awesome!
Just one question Ella, if I wanna make them in training size bites, are they easye to cut up afterwards or do they just crumble? or is it better to make them in small pieces from the beginning?
