Holestic Sardine and Anchovy dry food. Good for a staffy?
Hi all!
My staffy rocky has been on a dry food holstic sardine and anchovy dry since january.
I had no idea before that that foods like pedigree ect where bad for dogs.
Rocky had been on pedigree and chum food for the 1st 5 years of his life till we switched him and my pug to Holstic.
Now this blend of Holstic is suppose to help with skin problems and tummy problems ( my pug has a bad tummy and holstic is the only thing that works for her) as for rocky he has some kind of skin condition but it has only made his fur soft and he scratches somewhat less.
He has a cup and a half a day and weighs 18kg which vet is very happy with ( he lost 5 KG going to this food)
Anyone else use this brand and are happy with it? Freaks me out sometimes cause he is skinny but vet sayes he looks great.

Id post a pic of him here if you are worried about his weight. Vets will go by charts and how much an adult dog should weigh. A vet told someone on here their dog was overweight when infact it was in perfect shape.

It's not a food I've heard of but then I guess you are bound to have different brands down under to what we can get here.
Pedigree is not a good one, neither is Bakers, they have loads of additives and rubbish in them.
Our recommended list is below:

He looks fab to me! I think when you have seen your dog look bigger you automatically worry that they look to thin when they loose weight. I was the same when i put mine on a diet as she had gotten reallllly big and when i was on holiday she pined and lost more weight that i would have liked and i though she was dying, but the vet said nothing was wrong she just pined and that now were back she will put weight back on and level out. now she looks great

I took this the night before i took lexi to the vets convinced she was dying (i took her for a walk after the vets and someone made a point of stopping me and saying how good she looked and they loved to see a proper staff and not these horrible dogs on steroids! lol)
These are the most recent pics and this next one is her before diet
