Silly sardine question (probably!)
I'm still debating fish4dogs as Lola was sniffy about the samples 2nd day. At the moment she's still on Royal Canin dry sensitivity control which has been fab for sorting her very sensitive tum. I notice a lot of peeps use sardines in food. I was thinking of the fillets in olive oil but draining the fishy oil off to lightly drizzle daily on food with the actual sardines as a weekly treat - would this be too much oil? Also, if tinned whole sardines, do you chuck in bones and all?

I just Moo the half a can in her dinner every few days bones and all as a treat, and if she is being picky! Moo also used to have a very sensitive tum, we started on RC and moved to fish4dogs over a year ago, she has done even better on it

Re: Silly sardine question (probably!)
Bonnie and Tilly both have sensitive tummies, Bonnie is also prone to colitis so has to have sensitive food. I normally feed them Burgess Sensitive but last week I got their Salmon food which is also for sensitive tummies, they prefer the Salmon food, can't say I blame them from boring lamb.
Don't give the sardines in brine, there is too much salt in but the oil and tomatoe sauce is fine, just bung it in.

Same here, bung the whole tin in. Sometimes I get the sardines in oil and sometimes in tom sauce.
But i can recommend the fish4dogs salmon mousse. My 2 LOVE it ! I give it to them as a topping on their usual food.
Even my cat loves it !! Cheeky bugger she is x

Rocky was eating Burgess Sensitive when at the rescue centre we got him from. It's a very good food. Sadly he became bored with it after a while though and we changed him to JWB.

Stans on f4d as he has a minor skin complaint and loves it he will happily eat it without anything on and i think it smells really healthy too. I think it has had an effect on his skin.coat and am very happy with the food.
Mine have Sardines a couple of times a week, in waitrose you can get sardines in water if you dont want it in olive oil. I also give mine, tinned mackeral, tinned pilchards in tomato, tinned salmon. They love all of it .

Re: Silly sardine question (probably!)
Thanks guys - put a bit of sardine in with a drizzle of oil. I was surpised to find the bowl hadn't been woofed down as well when she lifted her head 10 seconds later! Bizzarely she has also decided she likes low fat cottage cheese with chives (end of my lunch pot). Don't know about everyone else but now the weather's cooled off Lola is eating for england and even more bonkers than usual. Our morning walk is now a jog!

Yes, she is now snoring under my desk at work in preparation for our lunch time stroll/mad run - good thing I have some flat shoes in the car!
