Is our new puppy a staffy?
[left]
We just rescued a 5 month old staffy pup and have our doubts about whether she is a pure bred English staffy as claimed to us, and also doubts on her age. We were told she is 5 months old but we think she could be older than this. She has all her adult teeth which are fully grown in her mouth. She has had very little training and still is not toilet trained but is responding to our training well. We will also have her age confirmed by a vet.
This information won't change anything for us - she's beautiful - we'd just like to know for breeding purposes.
So what do you think? Is she a staffy? Does she look to be around the 5 month age?

She looks like a staffy to me but doesnt look 5 months old, looks older. Especially if all her adult teeth are fully grown. She is gorgeous though, good on ya!

Re: Is our new puppy a staffy?
Thanks for the feedback everyone
[quote="Kathy"] Are you considering breeding from her then ??
Yes we are planning to breed her with our 1 year old male when the time is right. We want to confirm her correct age to avoid getting her pregnant too early. Her previous owner said she hadn't had her first heat yet but also admitted he wouldn't know the signs of her being on heat (he was a bit ignorant about knowing the breed or dogs in general for that matter!).
We will take her to the vet ASAP to confirm her age as if she is 5 months she will be due to go on heat very soon.
