lead training my pup

just want to ask about lead training my pup so far every time I put the lead on my pup he starts chewing and biting the lead getting a bit worried incase this enforces the idea in his head that it's ok to bite the lead, also im trying the yelp and saying no when he bites me this does not seem to be working anyone got any helpful advice plz

If he is 8 weeks I take it he is still in the process of having his jabs, so the best thing is just to pop the lead, or harness on and let him wonder round the house to get used to it, and with the mouthing your doing the right thing with yelping and also ignoring them helps. It doesn't happen over night though as it takes time with pups. Good luck.
