Still Weeing :/
Hey Guys.
Zeke is now 15 Weeks and when we are not looking he will wee in the house. He also wees in his cage when hes been in it but hes never in there long periods of times.
He will cry at the door for a poo but not a wee.
What should I do?

Re: Still Weeing :/
What do you do now to teach him not to?
Anyway...15 weeks is still young, it takes some longer than others to catch on. Just let him out every hour or so and when he does something, give him lots of praise and maybe even a treat. That's all you need to do really, as long as you do that he'll catch on, just might take a bit of time

Re: Still Weeing :/
Hi,
15 weeks is still very young... Stella did a pee inside accoasionally at night even at 6-8 months.
When I was toilet training her I was taking her out every 30 minutes, after meals, after playing, after sleeping, all the time.
I always praised her loads and gave her treats for doing it outside.
I just cleaned it inside with no reaction at all. If I saw her peeing inside I took her outside and praised her for finishing outside.
I think the main thing is to stay laid back and relaxed. They all learn it eventually but each dog has a different progress, I think.
Good Luck x

Re: Still Weeing :/
At 15 weeks he is still very young and you should expect mistakes still.
The best way to do it is regularly, maybe every hour, take him outside and wait until he goes to the toilet. Because he is young you won't be waiting too long hopefully. As soon as he goes praise him heavily and give him a treat if it helps then bring him back in. He will learn fairly quickly after repetition that this is what you want him to do.
It's also really important not to ever tell him off for going inside, because it will just confuse him. If he makes a mistake take him straight outside and wait again until he goes and reward him.

Re: Still Weeing :/
Thanks guys,
When I see him weeing inside I just pick him up and take him outside and praise him loads for doing it outside. Outside he has a spot where he always wees. I just wish he would cry when he needs a wee or atleast go to the door like he does when he needs a number 2 haha.x

That's the best way to deal with it. It takes repetition of that for a while then it'll just click eventually
