They are great once you get the hang of it Couldn't count the number of times Steff tripped me up with hers

Re: Training lead
Great hope you and Alfie have fun with it. Took a lot of getting used to for me, lots of falling/tripping

Re: Training lead
They are a great tool. Just be sure to pay attention where the extra line is when they are running about so you don't get hurt

Same one as me then
They are very strong and well made for very little money, able to withstand Logan running at full pace.
It's too wet here to get a go in the fields atm. I hope you and Alfie can get out and he can run wild!

Re: Training lead
I'm sure Alfie will love having a good run around the fields now, the lead will give him the freedom to run and confidence to you, win win situation really.

Re: Training lead
As long as he has to option to explore it'll be working well. Someday when the moment is right he will make the very most of it.

Re: Training lead
Anything that helps is worth doing. Even getting a good sniff around makes a big difference and makes them more content after.
Logan is never on the short lead these days.

Re: Training lead
It was good fun though sarah alfie got a bit tangled too haha. Im hoping the more i use it the more he will have a good run around. There was other dogs there to begin with and he didnt even bother with them (he was too interested in me lol) but when it was time to go home he came nicely when called so i could put his flexi lead back on

Re: Training lead
Lmao
Tank has a 30ft lead and somehow he still manages to drag me along.
I wish I could let him off but once he pics up a scent - that's it
We have an enclosed tennis court nearby that we let Tank n Diesel run offlead in but today there was a bunch of muppets playing football (bahhhh)
We gonna try again tomorro !

Re: Training lead
I had one for Ledger but got fed up with it trailing in in other dogs
Where abouts do you walk in Shrews? I work there at the moment and keep meaning to bring Ledger over one day to drop a food parcel at Dogs Trust, take a walk up Haughmond and maybe test him in town for lunch as I know the Armoury is dog friendly (but that will probably be pushing it)

Re: Training lead
Mine arrived yesterday, can't wait to try it! This is gonna sound really stupid Ellie but what did you do? Just encourage him to run around? Did you keep him on it all the walk? I'm just used to using the flex lead!!

Re: Training lead
Well its about a 10 min walk to the park so i used the flexi lead for that and once we were at the park i put the training lead on him and just started throwing the ball for him. He got bored of that though so i had to run around like an idiot to get him excited (i hope no one was watching haha)

Re: Training lead
Daisy will get the ball bit then that's it game over you can't get it off her !!

Thats what its like with alfie, so i alternate with sticks and his ball. Until he gets bored of that so i have to make him chase me
