Great news!!

Got murphy back after his double claw amputation.
Op went really well and he is dosed up on sedatives and rhymadyll with a lampshade on his head.
Really cute when we got back he put a paw on each shoulder, led his head on one and fell asleep on me
Thanks to those who commented on my previous panicky "help!" post.
No surprise, 5 mins before going for op they say "oh if you want us to put in a drip and monitor his vitals its an extra £65".
Just handed £700 so no i cant afford it and i would expect if your doing a op you'd monitor his feckin vitals!
Anyhows, all was well.

Glad to hear it went well. That's an awful lot of money to hand out at once 
Just keep your eye on him so he doesn't get himself irritated trying to get at it etc.

YAY! That's smashing news! I didn't comment on the previous post as I'd be no real help 
but my sympathy was with you both so I'm super glad everything's okay it's terrible they asked for an extra £65 though, as you said you'd expect that they'd do that anyway!

yeah going to be doing shifts with the girlfriend in the night to keep an eye on him i think.
Aye, i thought to myself as i was counting out the cash that if id of got a hamster, id of been able to go for a weekend away in amsterdam on this....
however, we all know in our heart of hearts we would shed out everything we had for our furry friends.

thats fab news!! but cannot believe thats its not standard procedure put a drip in etc am really shocked at that!!!
