Puppy snorting Empty Puppy snorting

Post by Arden75 Thu Feb 28 2013, 19:53

Hello all - I am a new staffy owner and my girl Gucci is 11 weeks old she makes these snorting noises sometimes especially when she sleeps. The first night I brought her home I was really concerned that she had some type of breathing issue until I was re assured that this is normal for the breed by the breeder. Otherwise she seems normal , plenty of energy and lots of trouble ; ) so justed wanted to check with you all to see if weird noises are normal for young staffys

Lucy makes weird noises (usually from her bottom), she does occasionally make a slight snoring sound.

It's normal. I was the same, the first night Loki was with us I was watching him intently...then woke my mum up and said I think he couldn't breathe Laughing but yeah, it's normal. It might go away when she gets older, but some dogs continue snoring.

Charlie is a snorter too! He was worse when we first got him and I worried something was wrong with his breathing but was assured by vet it's just the breed Smile

Never heard a bum burp yet, just silent killers. Amazing how things become relative......

Snorting noises perfectly normal I think. Rocky makes all sorts of noises while he is asleep especially if he is dreaming then he comes out with this kind of half whimper half bark funny little sound. I just sit and stroke him until he wakes up.
