what raw meats can i give Max?
Hi,
so im thinking of maybe changing Max's diet a little, hes currently only on bakers, his toilets and that are all fine, but im thinking of maybe giving him something raw or anything cooked? for his dinner, it doesn't necessarily have to be meat any suggestions would be very helpful Thank you!

You could feed a raw diet, lots here do and can help. Bakers is a really bad kibble and I would take Max off it asap. Here's some dry food recommendations

I also feed sardines, raw egg. Any cooked meat is fine in moderation. Hope this helps Xx

if you are wanting to give it along side kibble then just do them in separate meals
you can give any meat raw but it's best to start with chicken or turkey as they are the plainest easiest meats to digest. The move on to more richer meats like pork, lamb and beef after a while
Don't forget you can also give raw bones as a meal as well! and yes raw chicken bones are totally fine for them to eat!

I don't know too much about Raw myself sorry.
I agree about the Bakers..my vet told me it is like feeding your kids Mcdonalds every single day. I would change food if I were you

oh really???
I've been feeding him it for about 4 years now i think as my vet at the time recommended it as we couldnt afford the science plan... i think its called that lol.
But we'll look into something else then
And yep we want to add something else to the kibble diet he already has

I feed just raw meat and bones. If you want to feed raw you will need a decend size freezer, but the food cost works out at around 65p a day

Try him on some chicken wings, maybe chicken quarters or some sardines and rice or something. I would get him off bakers and on to something else. It contains many fillers and colourings plus loads of preservatives which are banned in human food. As someone else said its like feeding him macdonalds every day and may eventually even do him harm. It has been linked to growths and skin conditions.
