Poorly puppy :-(
I have a poorly Tilly :-( runny poops last night and woke up at 6am to find her, her crate and everything around it covered in poop. She was stood up the corner looking guilty and I felt so bad for her. I've been cleaning and bleaching all day and she's just slept. I'm contemplating trying her with some boiled fish and brown rice as she's hasn't pooped for 7 hours now. Would that be a good idea? I've bathed her but not very well as I didn't want to distress her more. This hasn't been a great Boxing Day, my poor little girly <3

Re: Poorly puppy :-(
How old is she, I would suggest starving for 24hrs but that depends on her age, hope she is feeling better soon Xx

Re: Poorly puppy :-(
As she's only 18 weeks I wouldn't starve for 24 hours. You could miss one meal & then try some scrambled egg or boiled/mashed potato.

Poor little Tilly - she won't have pooped again for several hours as it all went out in her early Boxing Day "explosions".
She's too little to starve, - try her with something bland for now; scrambled egg is very good as mentioned above.
Make sure she has plenty of water available to her to prevent dehydration, and keep her quiet (Ha! Quiet? A Staffy?) for a bit, I'm sure she'll settle down. If not, you know where your vet is!
Good luck (we've all been there) and let us know Tilly gets on.

Re: Poorly puppy :-(
Had this with Bacchus last week. Took him to the vet as a precaution. He got an antibiotic shot and kept him on boiled chicken/scrambled egg and rice for 3 days and it cleared up.

Re: Poorly puppy :-(
Thanks folks. She's had some white fish and brown rice (she's on a fish4dogs diet) and seems so much better. My only worry now is that she hasn't pooped since 6am and I'm scared about crating in her incase she messes in the night again. When will she poop??

Re: Poorly puppy :-(
Glad Tilly is better on her temporary bland diet.
My guess is that she emptied her system during her upset and won't poo again until the bland stuff works through; as Janey says, it depends on her system when she poos again.

100% back to normal today, pooing and being naughty lol. Thanks for the support everyone. The only thing we can put it down to was some bread she picked up when walking on Christmas Day (someone was throwing it for the ducks) makes you realise how precious they are to you when they're poorly, she's my first puppy and I'm paranoid lol :-)
