Jess today has decided that whilst the other half was out for an hour to jump up onto the kichen side and into the rubbish bag. We think that she may have eaten a couple of chicken bones andlcked the bag that the chicken was defrosted in. This happened about half eleven this morning. He has jst got in from work to find she has had diahreah on her bed with a tiny bit of blood. She seems fine within herself and still wants to give out lots of kisses and still wags all of her bum!!

Ahh yes they love to counter surf Laughing Were the chicken bones cooked or raw? if they went cooked I think the biggest problem is choking and as she didn't choke no problem Big Grin The different food probably upset her tummy if she isn't use to it causing the runs.. If the blood was red then she may have just tore the anus a little and that will be fine, if the blood was brown it could have come from somewhere internal and if that is the case then a trip to the vet is advised.. while she has the runs it is best to just feed her something bland like a little boiled rice and chicken Smile She should be fine and has hopefully learnt a lesson in stealing food (although I doubt it Laughing )

Agree with this. We make sure to put all the bones outside just is case she gets in the trash. We also have a bin that has a locking lid.

If she worsens or stops drinking then get her looked at. Likely she's eaten a bunch of wrappers n other stuff that needs to go thru her system.

Theirs eyes are too big for there bellys ! X

Naughty pooch! I would go with the advice above, just keep a close eye on her and if she stops eating, drinking or seems lethargic then pop her to the vets.

no signs of lethargy, out on her walk at 5am this morning still running to catch up she had a wee but nothing else have given her fresh water before i left for work and them she was straight back up the stairs and into bed with the other half, so will give him a call in a bit when he wakes up and find out how she is.
our last staffie was never a bin muncher but Jess seems to love it, the little monkey.
Thanks for all the advice will keep you posted..

If she hasn't done that before it might be best to go to the vets just to be safe. Sometimes odd behaviour can be a sign that something is off and that is the only way they can communicate it to you
