Advice needed
Hi I wondered If anyone could give me some advice please. Monty is about 13 month now he is a rescue dog and has fitted in really well at home. He is great with other dogs and quite placid. In the last few months he has started to play bite on your hand( men only) only at home. He did once try it with me and I give a firm NO and he no longer does it only it seems now with men. I've had him Neutered last month and he doesn't seem to do it as much but he still does do it. Ears is another thing he will try nibble mostly my partners. Is there anything I can do to get him to stop. He does had toys he can chew on and on the whole is a well behaved dog.

Re: Advice needed
Everyone must stick to doing the same thing to discourage him from doing it. A firm NO and turn round and ignore him when he does it, should do the trick.

That's the best way, but everybody has to do it - including guests

If he does, say by playing rough with him, then it'll be hard to stop him.

Agree with the advice above. Everyone just has to enforce the same rules and it will stop

Hi. No the Other Half or my two older sons do not play rough with him. We though that was best saying he came from a rescue kennels and we dont have any history on him. I also have a 4 year old grandson and we didn't want Monty jumping all over him when he arrives at the house. Thanks for the advice. I'll make sure they all use the same command as not to confuse him.

Re: Advice needed
He is most likely just seeking attention. With patience and consistancy he will learn this isn't how to get it. Best of luck and we all go through it
