Homemade toys Empty Homemade toys

Charlie loves the toys we have made for him, we made a sock thing....an old sock stuffed with old socks and tied off; a smaller sock toy, 1 sock with 1 old sock in tied off wiith 3 knots; a small plastic drink bottle in an old sock; a tug toy made from old school t-shirts...make a circle then keep wrapping the material round and round and tie off; 2 strips of cotton material knotted over and over to make a small tug toy.

Has anyone made any different ones?

When our older dog was a pup we used to put tennis balls in old (unpairable) socks ...
Dunno if it would stand up for long with a staff pup though Laughing

Oh, they're good ideas, I'll be stealing them Laughing

We just used to put some treats in a plastic bottle and let him figure it out. Or fill a plastic bottle with water when it was summer, he enjoyed that Big Grin

They are good ideas but I can't stand the thought of chewing on socks, its like biting cotton wool, sorry if that sounds odd Laughing

Don't worry Janey, I think they were talking about toys for the dogs, not us Laughing

lol, he loves it though, especially biting an the knots Smile
Tara, I read about putting treats in a carton and a small hole in the top and I tried it with a Saxo one but think it scared him! He just barked at it and got scared if it rolled at him. He also loves playing tug with a knotted string, think it's more like butchers twine Smile

I was worried he'd think he could bite our feet in socks but he's been ok so far, fingers crossed!
