I saw this on the news this morning. The treatments have really come a long way now and anyone who thinks they may be suffering could get all the help and support they need.

you only need a players who sleep with different females or males every weekend to double or tripe that figure

Ideally, I think people should get themselves and their partners tested for HIV before they engage in a sexual relationship. It would drastically reduce the spread of HIV.

Agreed! Accidents do happen, though, with faulty condoms and such.

Intravenous drug use is a big culprit. We do not have as many clinics here that other countries have to ensure clean needles for those who clearly are in the grip of addiction. Not condoning drug use btw, but we handle it all wrong in the UK we really do.

At least we get good accurate medical advice in the UK, in Africa the Witch doctors advise that the only cure is to go screw a virgin! (13 years average age) ................and so it spreads.

Sadly this is good advice only for the un-infected

it very unlikely any of us will talk to anybody with HIV but it only take one person who sleep around a lot i bet we all know someone like that and someone who don't know they have got it over 10 or so year they could infect a lot of people which is very scary... i think everyone should be made to give blood so we can find the 25,000 people with it

can anybody remember the bloke in American who slept with like 1000 women and he knew he had HIV i bet these woman slept with other men
