I'm not smart enough to lie. It is too hard to keep everything straight so the truth is just easier

ok little white lie are alright but soem people around here they lie lie lie and more lies it's like they have to lie to get throught the days

It's fairly easy to spot though. I usually just ignore it and don't repond since that will only encourage it.

Alot of people think the truth isn't all that interseting. I had a co worker like this. No matter what you would talk about he had already done it. Everyone knew he lied and it was kind of a running joke in the office.

i just dont understand it, lies never get you anywhere in life well it shouldn't anyway.

I think self esteem has alot to do with it. Well that and a compulsion to have everyone like you.

I haven't run into that one before. There were more than one that denied having a baby before though.

i knew this girl told me that she used to get beat up by her ex & then said the same thing about her newest ex some females are worse then blokes i swear lol

I think some people feel their lives are more boring than everybody else's so they invent stuff.

I think most people tell 'little white lies' - like if you don't want to hurt someone etc - but if you lie BIG lies, then you end up having to cover yourself all the time, and you finish by forgetting what you said in thefirst place.

it's sad & wrong lying about having a baby or getting beat up i really think these type of people shouldn't be allow to have kids.

My belief is - Your only lying to yourself- so whats the point?

That's exactly my belief, I try my best not to lie and I don't....most of the time When I do it's for fun, not serious reasons and I act all sarcastic so you can tell when I'm lying

A freind of mine little sister told the authorities that her dad had sexually abused her, the family went through a awful time and it came to light later that she had said it because her best freind had got this great life in care and so she made it up to be like her freind. Dad lost his job, freinds, house and much more thought that was such a cruel lie to tell awfull

Oh Steve, you sound like my type of friend. I HATE people who constantly lie. It uaually always catches up with them anyways, and then they look like a total twit ( to put it nicely )
I'm always drimming into my girls that it does'nt pay to lie. Even if you think you may get in trouble for something, it's best to tell the truth and deal with the consequences.....coz if they lie and I find out..............R U N

My mum always said if you are going to be a liar, you HAVE to have a good memory !

Bottom line.. it is so much easier just not to lie in the first place!

I always said that to my two - Tell me the truth & yes, you may get in trouble; but tell me a lie & I find out (and I will).................. >

one of the kids where I work had his show and tell, he told us all how he went to the zoo and got to feed a monkey a banana (almost believable) but then the monkey got out and stole every ones lunch and all this other stuff happened....

he was only 5 years old so I let it slide. haha

My daughter, when she was about 4 or 5 used to tell everyone at school that we had.........

2 ponies
3 dogs
several rabbits
a cat
fish in a large pond

I didn't know until one of her teachers asked me where we keep the ponies, as she wanted to put her pony out to grass for a while, and did wwe have any pups left from our bitch's litter?

Apparently my daughter was really convincing. She had a name & description for each animal & they never varied!

I was just a little embarrassed!

She must have had a good memory too, don't think my daughter would be able to do that as she has short term memory lol

But talking about lying , we have 2 kids in our street, one is 13 and other is 9 both from the same family but the 9 year old is adopted but they are both bare faced liars and wouldn't know the truth if it hit them in the face lol

My friend used to say liars always get found out in the end

My dad hates liers and has allways told us 2 things you need a good memory to be a lier and that he would rather have a thief then a lier a thief will rob of you but a lier will get you hung. We learned from a early age not to lie as the punishment was not worth it
