raw chicken wings & other foods
Hi all
first post, so here goes! Our Ned is 4 7 a half months old and we struggle on what to feed him. He was on Iams from the breeder but was never keen. He sometimes has scrambled egg for brekky with Wainwrights dried food mixed in & he's ok with that. For his main meals, he mainly has rice mixed with cooked chicken breast or raw lamb, turkey, or chicken mince which is bought frozen from pets at home. He is happy with all of these but if he gets a runny bum, we have nothing different to give him, all we do is leave the water in the rice for added starch.
At what age can we give him raw chicken wings and are they just taken from the packet and given like they are and are the bones ok for pups?
We would appreciate some advice as we are novices and his fur has a few patches, we thought it maybe something to do with the food he's having.
Thanks!

Re: raw chicken wings & other foods
Hi & welcome.
If he gets a runny tum (bum gravy - ) you can skip a meal and then give him boiled eggs or mashed potato for the next meal. Maybe also get some Kaogel - great for poorly tums.
He can have raw chicken wings whenever you want to start! To start with I'd hold one end of it, though, to encourage him to chew rather than just swallow it down whole! Try not to give raw meat/bones together with commercial food, though. They have different digestion times & could upset his stomach. So maybe a couple of raw chicken wings for his morning meal, then mince for his second, and dry commercial food for the last one? The bones are fine as long as they are raw & fresh (or freshly defrosted). NEVER give cooked bones of any sort.
What sort of problems are you having with his fur/skin?
