Milbemax Question
So Dragon has just took the Milbemax deworming tablet, but the vets didn't tell us if we can feed him after or not, or how long to wait till we can feed him again?

Re: Milbemax Question
Yes, there's no problem with feeding before, after or even with the tablet.

i.e. wrapping it in cheese and ham and pouring gravy all over it, and the dog still finding it and refusing to eat it hahahaa

Re: Milbemax Question
Wouldn't that make him poo and then the tablet comes out in his poo, so it wouldn't work? Im just asking because I really want it to work and get rid of his worms.

No, the tablet is dissolved and digested into the intestines. If anything, the food helps it dissolve better.

You've got one that does that as well?

It disolves in the gut really quickly & gets to work within about 10 minutes, so it won't just be expelled with the next poo.

Re: Milbemax Question
Nah, lexi eats them raw. My two old ones (lab and ret) refused to come within 10ft of me if they knew i had a tablet. It was very hard shoving them down their necks cause the lab was a biter!

Re: Milbemax Question
Bandit used to pick off anything that wrapped the tablet & then spit the tablet out. My collies were the same.
Dempsey occasionally crunches it & then spits it out, but then he picks it up & eats it again! Gutsy!

Re: Milbemax Question
No crunch needed by lexi. i just throw it into that void of a mouth and thats it lol its gone before shes realised what it is!

Re: Milbemax Question
Rocky isn't too bad at taking tablets, so long as they are wrapped in cheese or chicken. My old dog Judy was a bit of a bugger for taking anything and me and Mum had to virtually force them down her throat
